Following the origin of the word India that gives its name to the State, the official motto is "Friendship".

It is the largest State in the US with 695,622KM2 behind Alaska, as a curiosity it is said that it is the US territory that has had the most official flags in its short existence, France, Spain, Mexico, Republic of Texas, Confederate States and United States.

The two most recognized symbols outside its borders are undoubtedly the geometric shape of the State and the lone star on its flag.

The star of its flag, which is represented on the coin, dates from 1839, and represented the Republic of Texas, in 1845 it became the state flag, hence the legend "The Lone Star State".

The colors that form it;

red, white and blue represent courage, purity and loyalty,
The strings on the sides of the coin represent cattle and cowboys, a representative image of the entire South and West of the United States, and a source of wealth for this State, as well as a subject of confrontation with neighboring States and with the country of Mexico, for water resources and pastures.
