Mississippi Tax tokens value
Mississippi has aluminum, brass, fiber, and plastic tax tokens. Aluminum and
brass tokens are very common and worth less than a dollar each.
A 1 mill fiber token is very common and is worth less than a dollar, but the same
type of 5 mill token can be worth up to $50, depending on condition.
There are 3 main colors for Mississippi plastic tokens: cream, white, and
ultramarine, with a few minor variations. Cream tokens are the most common and
are worth less than a dollar. Ultramarine tokens are a little rarer and are
worth $1-2 more. There are two rarer varieties. One is described as having a
slight "pink translucent" glow when held up to the light. The other is matte
white and completely opaque. Both varieties can be worth up to $50, depending on
condition.
