Russia 10 rubles "Regions" coins catalog with values online
In 2005, the Central Bank of Russia began issuing commemorative coins dedicated to the regions of the Russian Federation. Officially, the series is called simply "Russian Federation". First issued a coin dedicated to the Leningrad region.
Description
Coins of the series "Russian Federation" are bi-metallic, i.e. consist of two metals. Until 2017, the inner circle was made of copper-nickel alloy, the outer ring of brass. Since 2017, metals have been replaced by nickel plated steel and brass plated steel. This does not affect the appearance, but now the coins have become magnetic.
The weight of the coin is 7.9 g., Diameter is 27 mm.
The layout of the details of all coins is the same.
On the obverse side:
- in the center is the denomination - "10 rubles" (inside the number "0" a hologram, with a different angle of view showing "10" or "RUB") and the designation of the mint, - on top of the inscription "BANK OF RUSSIA", - bottom year of manufacture, - along the edges of the branches of plants.
On the back (reverse):
- in the center is the image of the coat of arms of the region, - on top of the inscription "BANK OF RUSSIA", - below the name of the region.
Hurt corrugated with the inscription "10 rubles."
The most rare and expensive coins of the series "Russian Federation"
Most of the coins were minted with a circulating of 10 million copies each. Naturally, talking about some rarity is not necessary.
Exceptions:
The coin of 10 rubles 2011 Buryatia minted a little smaller circulating (9 million 300 thousand copies). It is still very much and does not affect the cost.
Four coins of this series are minted in much smaller quantities and here they really are expensive:
- 10 rubles 2010 Nenets Autonomous District 1 million 950 thousand copies, - 10 rubles 2010 Perm Region 200 thousand copies, - 10 rubles 2010 Chechen Republic 100 thousand copies, - 10 rubles 2010 Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region 100 thousand copies.
Prices can be viewed below for each specific coin.
Interesting Facts
Traditionally, coins dedicated to a specific region of Russia are delivered to this region in the greatest quantity.
Part of the coins was minted equally in the Moscow and St. Petersburg Mint, part - in one of them only. This does not affect the rarity and, accordingly, the cost. Quite often there are 10-rubles without a mint mark at all - it is just a, which also does not greatly affect the value.
If we talk about more expensive defects - there is a known case when for 10 rubles of 2013 North Ossetia-Alania was given a herd of 25 rubles devoted to the Olympic Games in Sochi (180 corrugations, instead of 300). Such a coin costs about $3.
Among the coins issued, there is one dedicated to a region that no longer exists. The Chita region in 2008 entered the newly formed Zabaykalsky Krai, and the coin dedicated to Chita was released in 2006.
The number of Russian regions is greater than the number of coins issued, a little less than twice. Considering that they are minted several pieces a year, and the tendency to reduce the mintage to 1, the full set of coins of the "Russian Federation" series cannot be quickly collected. :)
