1 euro 1999
The circulation of euro cash coins and banknotes
began in the Eurozone countries in 2002. Some of the coins were minted
back in 1999, but entered circulation with the rest.
1
euro 1999 was issued in five countries - Belgium, Finland,
France, the Netherlands and Spain.

EU member countries, through which six lines with stars at the ends (12 stars, like on the flag of Europe). Near Cyprus - the designer's initials (LL - Luc Luycx).

Value of 1 euro 1999
1 euro is the most common denomination, one-euro coins make up about a quarter of the total number of euro coins in circulation.
The 1999 coins, despite the fact that they were minted 2 years before the official
transition to the euro, are not rare. Quite the contrary - on the eve of
the transition to the new currency, the mintage of 1999 (as well as 2000 and 2001)
was significantly larger than in subsequent years.
No rare
varieties of these coins are known.
Therefore, 1 euro 1999 is worth exactly
one euro, regardless of the issuing country. The most you can
hope for is to sell this coin for a little more (maybe 1.5-2
euros), if it is very well preserved and has no traces of
circulation (scratches, abrasions, traces of impacts, etc.).
In addition to coins for
circulation, in 1999 they minted 1 euro in BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) quality,
which were distributed exclusively in bank sets, and PROOF coins
(improved quality, with a matte surface). They are, of course, more expensive (3-5 euros for BU and 10-15 euros for PROOF),
but you won't be able to get such 1 euro coins in change, since they were made
specifically for sale and in small quantities (details on the mintage are below).
